Did you know NIST researchers set fire to a building? Several, in fact. Just part of the research NIST has conducted over the past 100 years. To celebrate its centennial anniversary in fire research, we’ve added dozens of new images to our Building and Fire Research collection. These photos document numerous studies into fires from cigarettes, ignition of textiles, firefighter safety, combustion chemistry, and a lot more. See the expanded collection here.
